Barb, I just noticed that you have a Gowen you are looking for in Patrick Co. Va. I don't have any info for you, but I also am looking for an ancestor, a David McGowan, I first find him in Wayne Co Ky, then his sons migrate to Russell CO KY, where I was born, (which is a nearby county to Adair Co. Ky.) So maybe we are cousins??? Another coincidence. I have been told to look in Patrick Co Va, Henry Co Va. and Halifax Co Va. That is why I'm on this mailing list. Linda
