Mr. Adkins: I am searching for parents, siblings of Beckwith Lyell born 1793 VA possibly Henry or Pittsylvania Cos. After 30 yrs. of his being my brick wall a rooter came up with his Sept 18, 1815 marriage, Pittsylvania, Co., and maiden name of his wife, Peggy(Margaret) Owen, daughter of David Owen and Peggy Nelson. In either 1820 or 1830 census there are 2 Henry co. households headed by women, so no clue as to husband's names. Do you know if there are records of wills for Henry Co.? Beck named his eldest son Richard, others were John, Thomas, William, Robert and Benjamin. By 1830 they are in Dickson Co. TN I will appreciate any bit of information.
