I have recently been informed that Mary Agnes Branch and Archelus H. Staples may not have been married. My great uncle said that he heard that Mary Agnes went to work for Abram Staples (Archer's father) when she was about 14 and that she later moved in with Archer. I know that they had 9 children together, but unfortunately they have all died except for my grandmother and uncle. Neither of them remembers much since they were so young. They were the ones who had the tombstone placed at his grave as the school wanted to move the bodies and they refused. If you can find anything I would appreciate it. Her stone reads thus: Mary Agnes, Wife of A. H. Staples, b. 10 June 1886; d. 6 Sept. 1920 In 1993, some family members placed at same location a stone for A.
