Earl, I have that Creed was born ca 1827 in PCVA. I will check the PCVA marriages book to see if it lists his parents in the marriage record. To be honest, I don't know where I got that Creed was a son of Nathaniel. BTW...could you send me the info on Nathaniels children since I don't have all of it. I also have that Nathaniel married Sarah Jane Cruise, dau of John Cruise on 3 Dec 1844. Can you confirm that? David, thank you for the information, but can you (or somebody) tell me more about Creed AKERS? My information is that Nathaniel (1785-1852) and Elizabeth (1789-1862) had fourteen children. Creed, however, is not one of those in my records. He could be a fifteenth child or Creed could be a nickname, I suppose. These are the sons I have: Stephen, b @ 1808, md Esther SNEAD; John, b @ 1811, md Elizabeth ADAMS; Featherston "Fed", b @ 1815, md Elizabeth EDDS; Wesley, b @ 1818, md Jane STEELE; Burwell, b @ 1822, md Ellen AKERS; Nathaniel C., b @ 1824, md Exony L. Nowlin There is, of course, the possibility of second marriages. Any insight certainly appreciated. Best wishes, Earl B. Akers, Sr.
