Hello Everyone, My name is Peggy Light and I just discovered the Patrick County list this week. I was raised in the Meadows of Dan area but now live in Pennsylvania, so most of my research is done long-distance. I am researching the names Light, Burnett, Conner, Bowman, Hall, Smith, McAlexander, Scott, Bolt, McGrady, Quesinberry, Marshall, and Martin, among others, all of them from Patrick and Carroll Counties. Presently, my big mystery is the history of my g-g-g grandparents, Samuel and Sarah Light. Some sources say Samuel was born in 1797 in Pennsylvania and died in 1831. I have found no verification of this, in fact, I have found no record of them at all except on the death record of their son, James Light. Is there anyone else on this list researching the Light family? I am looking forward to participating in this list. Peggy
