Cindy, BINGO! I found Obediah Massey (b. abt 1790) who was married first to Nancy Bryant and had 2 children Sarah (b. 1820) and James Madison (b. 1822). My info then shows a second marriage to Lavinia ____. They had 5 children: Exoinia (b. 1846), George W. (b. 1850), Caroline (b. 1851), Virginia Frances (b. 1856) and Parthenia (b. 1857). Virginia married William Lawson (b. 1855) on Nov. 14, 1878. Obediah was the brother of my gggg grandfather, Warren Massey. The only discrepancy I've found is that in my original info, Warren and therefore Obediah were the sons of George Massey (b. abt 1741) and Temperance Flood (b. abt 1745) who married Feb. 3, 1771. In the other info, their father is listed as Richard Massey (no dates). As Obediah had a son George and Warren had a daughter Temperance, I tend to think that my original records are correct and that those are family names. That, plus the fact that the other records use many middle names as first names for Warren's children, so maybe Richard was George's middle name?? I have to believe that my records for Warren's children are correct as they to me from info given by Warren's granddaughter who would have known her aunts and uncles. Anyway, the only other early info I have is that George Massey's parents were Ralph Massey (b. May 9, 1710) and Jamimah_________ (b. June 10 1710). Hope this helps. Kathy
