Mary Anne, The Allen Thomas in Patrick Co in 1821 can not be the Allen Thomas in Carroll Co. VA. The later Allen was born in 1819 or 1820. I was contacted by a lady researching the Burwell Spence family and she has a listing from the New Hope Primitive Church for 1825 that also has a Allen Thomas listed as an adult male member of the church community. The same names must mean some kind of a connection. The older Allen is either Nancy Thomas' husband or brother. This would mean a big break in a stone wall. Rachel HGRACE5366@aol.com
