Speaking of the Wood Family Reunion Program...... My grandfather, Dewey Wood, who descends from Uncle Dickey's son Alexander (Richard Alexander/ William A./ Jesse Crawford), provided me with the Program. I copied the original that he had from attending the reunion. He was very young at the time and could not recall very many details. Does anyone else know anything about this reunion?? I'm reading through it again and noticed that there were committees and registration cards and that the meeting was put into minute form and mailed out to the registered members. The program lists the Hon. W. L. Joyce as the Program Manager. Any thoughts as to who this might be or what his relationship to the family is, if any? The call for respective family lines and registration was done by W. G. Hylton, again any idea who this is and the relationship to the family? My point for those questions is that maybe someone from those families may have more info. It appears this was the first Reunion, were there others? It says on the back of the program that for the members to go prepared to trace their relationship back through the generations...Someone, somewhere, may still have that info.... Just some thoughts. I haven't been able to do much in the way of genealogy research in the last few months. I do have a lot of info from the W. Virginia parts of the family and have taken numerous photos of tombstones at various marked and unmarked cemetaries. I haven't been able to figure out who some of them are. I'll have to compile them and see if anyone on here knows. I'm in the process of planning a Wood Family Renion at my grandfather's farm in Rock, (Mercer) W. Virginia. He passed away this past August, but the farm remains in the family and they've expressed an interest in a reunion. The plan is to hold the reunion around the first or second weekend in August of this year. I would love to be able to include other branch's of the Wood family. If anyone thinks they may be interested, please let me know. My email address is missy3455@comcast.net. Good Hunting!
