I just queried the USGS site _http://geonames.usgs.gov/pls/gnis/web_query.gnis_web_query_form_ (http://geonames.usgs.gov/pls/gnis/web_query.gnis_web_query_form) for all the features named Shooting Creek in Virginia, and the only one listed was the one on the northern edge of Patrick County. Charles
