Wm I don't know where they were from, but Saluda Doss was daughter of John Azariah and Mary Neal (Neel) Doss. As of 1850 they were in the Southern District of Patrick Co., Va. According to the 1850 census, Azariah was 69; Mary 57; Matilda 24; Saluda 21; Mary Ann 19; Malinda Jane 16; and William W. was 15. They were married 27 Jun 1813. I know that both Mary Neal and Drury Mays were born in Pittsylvania Co., Va. I know there was a John Doss in Pittsylvania Co., Va. in the mid 1700's, but am not sure he is connected to my John Azariah or Azariah John Doss. Pat C.
