    1. Re: [VAPATRICK] Who's who in Wood's Gap Cemetery

    3. Which ones do you have questions about? I can tell you that the McAlexanders were related to Richard Wood thru a daughter with his 4th wife, Lucy VIA. The daughter was Laura Matilda Wood who married Charles McAlexander. I don't have a copy of their children at hand. The Cannadays married two of Anna Wood and David Cockram's sons. Anna being dau of Richard Wood and Rachel Cockram. The sons were David Cockram Jr married Ellie Cannaday and Peter Cockram married Mahala Cannaday. The Griffiths- related to Richard Wood in this way: Richard and Rachel's son Alexander Wood had a son John Wesley Wood; He married Celia Lily in WV and they had a dau, Minerva who married Henry Griffith. Now I know these folks aren't in your list but there may be other marriages or connections that I am not aware of. I suspect the woman named Iowa you reference below who married Haynes is the sister to Henry Griffith as he had a sister named Iowa Griffith who first married David Cockram, the same David Cockram who first married Ellie Cannady. Hope this is clearer than mud!
