The transcription below is as close as I can get it to the original, save the parts I can not decipher. The remarks in brackets are my own. The photocopy in my possession was provided by the NC archives and received by me yesterday. It was proved in the Stokes county courts during the April term of 1828 by William Pruett and Edward Collins. William's son Major married Eleanor Collins and settled in Patrick Co. VA. Would love some help figuring out who Usley is.
