I recently came across a 1849 Land Grant to William Martin. The property boarders that of Elijah Spencer, who is noted as being deceased. I was unable to find Elijah on any of the online marriage lists or censuses. Could some one please tell me a little something about Elijah? Were his survivors still living in Patrick County when the 1850 census was taken? Thanks again to all who have helped with my past queries.
