BIG ANNOUNCEMENT!! The DAR Publishing Committee has decided to reprint Volume 1 & Volume 2 Cemetery Record Books of Rockingham and Stokes Counties North Carolina. As you know; these books have been out-of-print for some time; especially volume 1 (I need that one). I have been contacted by Linda Vernon and she wants me to get the word out to everyone I can. Please pass this information on to others. She hopes to have them for our next Swap Meeting of the Genealogical Society of Rockingham/Stokes Counties NC, that is on April 29, 2006 at the Sauratown Fire Station, if not at our next meeting of the of the Genealogical Society of Rockingham/Stokes Counties NC, which is on April 2, 2006 at the Mayodan Public Library. If you are interested in getting one or both of these books and are unable to come to either of the meetings please contact Linda Vernon at (336) 427-0106 or her DAR mailing address is P.O. Box 882, Madison, NC 27025. There will be only 50 reprints of Volume 1 and 25 reprints of Volume 2. The cost is thought to be the same as the other volumes which is $25 each. But it is possible that this may change with this reprint. Price has not been set yet as they are at the printers now and Linda has not been told a set price at this time.
