    3. Hi again Art, There appears to be some confusion here. The 75 year old William Martin of which you speak is living with a James and Nancy HARRIS in 1850. At first, I thought you might be talking about James CRADDOCK, son of Perdelphia, who also married a MARTIN, so I went to my database to check, but he didn't marry her until 1860. I then checked the census, and the only William MARTIN, age 75, is indeed with the HARRIS family. According to my records, James and Nancy HARRIS had a daughter named Sarah, and she married Thomas CRADDOCK in 1856. Thomas was, if I'm not mistaken, brother to Perdelphia's husband James. As for Perdelphia, she was the daughter of Isaac MARTIN, who, I believe, may have been a son to the William MARTIN Deb was talking about in her email. The confusion over Perdelphia's husband stems from a mistranscription of or misinformation on her death record. I need to order it to see where the problem actually rests, but anyway, the transcription credits D.F. as her husband when he was actually the informant. Also, according to my records, Deb's William MARTIN died about 1804, so this William is obviously not the same man. Perhaps a son or nephew? :-) Lee > X-Message: #4 > Date: Sun, 19 Feb 2006 12:19:13 -0800 (PST) > From: Art <artsteiger@yahoo.com> > To: VAPATRIC-L@rootsweb.com > Message-ID: <20060219201913.31345.qmail@web50606.mail.yahoo.com> > Subject: Re: [VAPATRICK] Re: Question on Perdelphia Martin > > Actually I'm looking for my elusive Martin ancestors > in Patrick County.
