Well..the William Martin I believe is my ancestor, married Delphia Walden and they had a daughter, Delphia Martin aka Phildelphia Martin. I had thought this might be the family you were speaking of...but I don't think this Wm Martin would have been living in 1850 although it is possible. Wm was probably the son of Isaac Martin and Phyllis/Fillis Halifax to Patrick Co VA. Their son Giles Martin was my direct line.
