    3. My great-great-grandfather was wounded on Sept 19, 1864 at the 2nd Battle of Winchester, and died there at a US Army field hospital on Sept 25, 1864. I would very much like to find his grave and, perhaps, have a marker placed there. His name was Alexander Jennings Thompson, he was a teamster serving with the 45th Regt., Virginia Infantry, CSA, at the time he was wounded. Would anyone know where I might be able to find a record of his burial? I am going to cross-post, so please forgive any multiple queries you might receive. Thank you.
