This seems like an appropriate time to express gratitude to Barbara Stanley for the marvelous job she does as list administrator. This is one of the best lists to which I subscribe. One peeve I have noted lately, however, is that some subscribers are posting thank-you notes that are of little interest to most of us. Barb lets us have so many interesting conversations, we ought to all be eager to cooperate with the few rules she sets and with anything that assists her. I second your endorsement of Barb.
