This is in reference to Wilma's note saying they sent photos to be on the wall of the WWII Monument in WDC. My husband and I just returned from WDC and went to the Monument and did not see any wall with personal photos on it. They will take your history of WWII involvement, but to my knowledge there is no place for photos. Both my father, husband, and several relatives are listed digitally at the monument. Ann Hughes
I just returned last night from Washington, DC and DAR Continental Congress. I did not see any personal photos at the WW ll memorial. Patsy Weikart Southern CA
I heard what you said is true. However, they asked for photos else my brother would not have sent them. I do not know what they did with the photos. Hi all: Pardon my interruption, if you are referring to the new WWII memorial in Washington DC; I sent memorial information about my dad's WWII service and at that time they sent me instructions for submitting a photo of him, if I so desired. I believe up until a certain date, the photo submission was free and now there is a one-hundred dollar fee for them to take a photo. I have an email saved regarding this: Your honoree, Willie George Shelton, was updated at 12/30/2003 7:46:10 PM and is now available for viewing in the National WWII Memorial's Registry of Remembrances at http://www.wwiimemorial.com. Click on the 'Search' link to view your honoree's plaque. You can submit photos by opening the www.wwiimemorial.com/photo web site, and follow the instructions on the screen.Click the "Submission Guidelines" for detailed information and requirements for your photo. ------------------------------------------------------ For National WWII Memorial Merchandise, please visit http://www.wwiimemorial.com/store Debbie --- [email protected] wrote: > This is in reference to Wilma's note saying they > sent photos to be on the > wall of the WWII Monument in WDC.
