Yes, I have quite a few ancestors from Patrick CO. VA. :) I am new to the list and thought I would introduce myself and see who is connected. On the Ayers side I am descended from Irvin Ayers (ayres) who was born in Patrick co. around 1832 to Jane Ayres. Jane may or may not have been from South Carolina. Thats as far as any of us can get with the Ayers'. I am just beginning to start on the Ratliff's (Ratcliffe's) but I recently discovered I am descended from Ratliff's who moved from Patrick to Wythe Co. VA. Elias Ratliff and Susan Smart - who married in Patrick Co. in 1850. For the Shelton's I am descended from Azariah Shelton, son of William Shelton through Azariah and Jane Rogers Shelton's son George Franklin Shelton. George was born around 1846. He married Frances Chapman (chatman) in the late 1860s in Patrick Co. VA. She was the daughter of a Frances "Frankie" Chapman. I have lots of info on the Shelton's I am willing to share, but want to make a connection to learn more about the Chapman's. Finally, I don't know much about the Hubbard's/Stanley's. But I do know that a grandson of Irvin Ayres, Charlie Thomas Ayers, married Barbara Hubbard. Barbara was born 1889 and was the daughter of John Ellison Hubbard of Patrick Co. VA and Mary Burrell Stanley of Carrol Co. Mary's parents were Isom Stanley and Lucy Pendleton, lucy was from Patrick CO. VA. So, lots of names, but I was just wondering if I could make a connection! Thanks, Robert Ayers Pulaski, VA --------------------------------- Yahoo! FareChase - Search multiple travel sites in one click.
