    3. Martin Marriage Lookups. Can anybody help? 1. Jos. Martin is listed as being married to "Dolly A." in 1870, and "Lucy A." in 1880 (probably the same person). Is there a record of their marriage, and the bride's name and parents? 2. John W. Martin married Mary E. Conner in 1872, in Floyd County. Does anyone know who their parents were? I wonder if this John was the son of Patrick County's William & Elizabeth Martin? The ages match, and his brother was also a carpenter. Thanks, Art __________________________________________ Yahoo! 3. Warm Greetings, Here is a list of the surnames I am currently working on. I am much further along with some than others, and especially need help with a pesky Martin ancestor - namely, the William who married Elizabeth Hollandsworth in 1846. Does anyone know -anything- about him, or his children by Elizabeth? I am descended from their daughter Susan, July 7, 1849 - November 21, 1936. Surnames: Martin, Hollandsworth, Corn, Ladd, Lovett, Moxley, Gates Thank You, Art __________________________________________ Yahoo! DSL – Something to write home about. 1. Pilgrimage to Woods Gap Cemetary
    2. Truman Adkins
    3. I have about 10 people interested in visiting the graves of Grandpa Dickey Wood and wives and family this spring. I would like to propose the date of the weekend of the 29th of April. It should still be cool on the mountain at that time. Let me know how that works for you all. I thought we could meet that morning at the Tuggle's Gap Motel and Cafe at the intersection of Rt. 8 and the Parkway, not far from Woods Gap and carpool there. I have not been to the cemetary itself since 1977, but will make a check out trip between now and then. I have been told the Boy Scouts restored it in the 1980's as a project. Anyone who has any ideas they would like so see us do as a group, feel free to speak up. Also for Byrum Tudor, I will check Mr. Pilson's book tomorrow night at the Historical Center and see if the person you asked about is buried there. 1. John Taylor CAMPBELL Tragedy
    2. Deb
    3. Hello all: As a child, while visiting my several great-aunts in Patrick and Henry Counties, I was told the story of how my cousin, John Taylor Campbell, son of Walter And Florence Campbell died. Going on memory alone, the story was that he was in the military(probably 1940's) and had come home on leave to marry his local sweetheart. On their wedding day as they drove out of town for their honeymoon trip, their convertible car ran underneath a big truck. They were both killed instantly (decapitated). I find John Taylor Campbell in the 1930 census at age 8; so I suppose this incident occured iin the 1940's or 50's. Would anyone remember this or have access to any newpaper clipping? Much appreciation, Debbie __________________________________________ Yahoo! DSL – Something to write home about. Just $16.99/mo. or less. dsl.yahoo.com
