    3. Terri, Have you checked Surry and Stokes Counties, NC? They are loaded with Lawson's. Several, or I should say numerous JAMES LAWSON'S. My granndmothers parents were both Lawsons and each family had several James. Your names sound very familiar and I will check my files. Give me a couple of days I have an entire filing cabinet on Lawsons and related families it will take a little research. When I find something will be happy to mail copies to you. What I am stuck on is the parentage of Charlie Lawson...the Charlie that murdered his entire family on xmas day. I am 99% sure his father was Agustos "Gus" Lawson and Agustos father was none other than James Lawson and wife Mary. This James Lawson seems to have been married three or four times, do you have anything on him? I checked out the 1870 census too and didn't find them there. Now - I'm back on track - just have to start looking for the info. on her parents, Joshua and Mary. There are so many Underwood families in that area, and I still haven't figured out - are they related or just have the same surname? What do you guys think?? Thanks - Tracy in WA
