Lainie .... My defense, Wood is a branch family for me therefore can say "I dunno" to the Nancy Brammer issue! Sorry. _Mitosis_

Lainie Hendrix Hey... it was a query "need descendants of Richard Wood". It was such a broad question, and with 4 wives and 18 kids for "Father Dicky", I choose to poke fun and list surnames of first couple generations with advice to "Pick any". Uploaded my Wood Family File to Barb, send her email request for the Wood.rtf and she will send to you... Barb S. E-mail Address(es): bobnroa@pipeline.com VAPATRIC-L@rootsweb.com _Mitosis_
Father Dickey had at least 18 children Could you picture yourself with 18 children. Today that is juicy gossip <GGGG> -- Thomas F. O'Connell Old Friends Enterprises Inc. 1241 California Road Eastchester, NY 10709-1016 E-Mail, Cabbagerose@prodigy,net http://members.ebay.com/aboutme/stoneface/
MITOSIS: Got it! Darn, I thought there was something more to it. To all, I am collecting information on "Father Dickey," and am willing to share what little I have. I'm from his son, Patrick Alexander "Alex" WOOD who married Bethany BRAMMER. Problem is, I have little. Harumph. Now I can poke fun at me, too, because you all know how difficult it is to sort those WOOD/BRAMMER lines. MAJOR CONFUSION OF MY DAY (I can't say week or year, because confusion is a daily obstacle in my existence. LOL): Has anyone figured out who Father Dickey's wife, Fanny BRAMMER, was? I've received generous suggestions that she was a daughter of John BRAMMER, and that she died on 30 Aug 1830; she was daughter of John BRAMMER....but *which* John BRAMMER? Compiled Marriage Records, Patrick Co., VA., p. 131: Sept. 1823 [day didn't copy!], Richard WOOD and Nancy (Fanny) BRAMMER. Sur. John BRAMMER. Min. Stephen HUBBARD. M.R. 09 Sept 1823. And did she also marry Nelson MORAN? And *which* Nelson MORAN? Nelson MORAN did marry a BRAMMER...Nancy BRAMMER, daughter of John BRAMMER and Sarah LEE (surety: Jonathan BRAMMER). But if this Nancy BRAMMER is the same person who married Richard WOOD, then how is it she died in 1830 and then married in 1839? I have a headache. Lainie Hendrix
Looking for info on Abe Hendricks/Hendrix....I do not have the year of birth but it should be ca 1880. He was married to Martha Frances Childress of Patrick Co., daughter of A.F. Childress and Eliza Jane Gwynn, Patrick Co. Abe, as he was called, is my great grandfather. Thanks, Joyce I am a NC reunited adoptee. http://members.aol.com/joyrn60000/nurse.html http://members.aol.com/joyrn60000/gene.html (GENEALOGY)
I have two handwritten copies of a death certificate from Patrick County for Richard Wood died Jan 20, 1859. One says the son of John and Nelly and one says John and Milly. Has someone looked up the real death certificate at the Patrick County Courthouse and couldd tell me which is correct? Thanks J Prince
I just received a WOOD file as an attachment - 90 KB rtf doc. from "Mitosis". Descendants of Stephen Wood. I will send it to those who want it. Just e-mail me personally and ask for the Wood file. Thanks, Barb S.

It truely is a small world, I have driven through Claudeville several times not knowing that Claudville was once Bateman. I had several Hooker ancestors around that area in the 1800's. Jack Hooker
This same thing happened to me last night - weird, huh? Don't know why, but I emailed the aol staff and got it fixed. good luck - Tracy
