    3. The Floyd County Heritage CD "Floyd Tidbits" by Rena Worthen is finished. It is about 1100 pages of information mainly about Floyd County and it contains Births, Deaths, Cemetery, Obits and a Floyd County Census index for 1930. Some Genealogy and more. It is a .PDF file. It is searchable by name or phrase, you can Zoom in , Zoom out ..It will read to you. Barbara has a sample and said "This is COOL" I am not at liberty to put the price here, But I assure you it's worth twice that. What i'm interested in is knowing how many are interested, so know how many I'll need to bring to the Picnic. YOU MUST contact me off list for details. Barbara has been kind enough to let me do this on her lists, so let's not make her upset. Please Refer to "Floyd County Tidbits" in the Subject line to reserve the CD. Mail directly to me at [email protected] Some of you have pre ordered, and the CD will ship on June 25, 2005. I am trying to get a good count so anyone wishing to have a CD can get one the day of the VAFloyd mail list picnic at the Zion Church in Floyd. Rena Worthen [email protected] www.geocities.com/doreatr for ordering details. Genealogy without documentation is MYTHOLOGY Founder and President Craig - Botetourt Genealogy Club

    1. [VAPATRICK] Transcription of William Nuns will
    2. GenealogyLady
    3. Hi Lee and all: Usley may have been a daughter or niece of William NUNN, Ursula Floyd? Henry Floyd who married Ursula Nunn, dau of William's brother, John Nunn. See below: In 1789 JOHN NUNN obtained a Land Grant of 150 Acres on Beaver Dam Creek. In his Will (1805-1806) he left his wife, Mary "only the property she brought here", devised his alnd and slaves to Henry Floyd (son in law)and to sons James and Thomas, nominating as Executor his Brother, William. In 1806 and 1807 deeds executed by Thomas NUNN of Logan Co. KY , by James NUNN and by Usley and Henry Floyd sold 106 acres on both sides of the Little Dan River. The will of John Nunn, died 1806, of Stokes County, NC mentions sons James and Thomas and Henry Floyd who married daughter Ursula Nunn. Stokes Co. is bordered by VA to the north. The Nunns and Floyds resided in both Stokes County, and Patrick County, VA. The Thomas of the will was probably b. ca 1776. http://archiver.rootsweb.com/th/read/NUNN/2003-09/1064334241 Debbie Wood __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo! 2. Yes, he probably borrowed money from a Userer (money lender). These transactions were usually recorded in the Deed Books. Check with the Recorder of Deeds in Patrick County to see what he used as collateral for the loan. A closer look in the Will book you will probably find an inventory of the estste and a final distribution of the assets. Ray

I also have Elizabeth FRAZIER marrying Joseph BOWLES (See WINGFIELD, Marshall, MARRIAGE BONDS OF FRANKLIN COUNTY VIRGINIA 1786-1858, p. 42: "BOWLES, (BOLES) Joseph and Elizabeth FRAZIER, Oct 5, 1812. Abigail FRAZIER, b. about 1794, North Carolina, who married John Christy, February 23, 1816 in North Carolina. The couple moved to Indiana before the birth of their daughter Elizabeth in 1817. Both John and Elizabeth are buried in Greene Coounty, Indiana. I believe that they were a Quaker family. I welcome any suggestions about where Abigail might fit into the line, if, indeed, she does. If you already have a copy of Volume I that we did in 1999, then unless you want another copy, just ignor that message. We have had a lot of request for copies of the first volume so we have been taking names, etc to see if there were enough people interested so we could do a reprint. We are hoping to have volume II printed for Christmas delivery. Let me know if you have anymore questions, and thank you for your interest in the books.
