Hi, am pretty sure this may be the same ROSE family that follows the HAWKINS, POTTERS an DANIELS down to Granville and Halifax County, NC. My GGM was a POTTER whose son married a DANIEL, out of that rather well-known bunch out of Middlesex County, VA. My 3rd GGM was a Penelope LANE ( 1773-1846), d/o Capt Isham LANE ( 1731-1801) of Dobbs, later Greene and Wayne County, NC.> I am pretty sure the Hon. Robert POTTER< Esq. ( 1799-1842) of Halifax County, NC and later of Potter's Point, Marion County, Texas is probably related to my POTTERS. John R. Clarke 229-228-1961 2417 N.
