Carol - Did I answer your question on genforum about the Grooms and ATkins family? I don't have a record, but I have answered several recently. I haven't signed up for genforum so can't post there. Solomon did marry Eliz. Harris, she was the daughter of Overton and Jemima Harris. He later married Eliz Chiles - a few years, possibly she died in childbirth as the second Eliz and Solomon moved to Missouri. Elizabeth (Chiles) and Solomon listed a dau. Emily Ann who married an Armistad, a son Grandville OOverton Grooms, and son, Thomas Jefferson Groom, Franklin Co., Missouri Wills and Admin. 1819-1854. I have not chased this down as he is the brother of my ancestor and I have not gotten much into collateral lines. I was glad to know what happened to him. My Grandmother, the grandaughter of Elizabeth Groom and Achilles Atkins, left a note saying that Elizabeth Groom Atkins who lived in Ross Co. Ohio after 1820, had a brother Solomon and was born in Virginia. Ann Burras and John Atkings Jr had at least two children - Sussana who married Henry Bell, moved to Ky, then Elizabeth Atkins who I believe married Henry Madison Groom (of Wm and Dorothy). Henry and Eliz had land in Augusta, sold it and he disappearts. I think he died and she went back home with her two children - Elizabeth Groom who married Achilles Atkins and went to Ross Co., Ohio and your Solomon who married two Eliz's.
