    3. I am looking at a land transaction (1743) that talks about the North Fork of the North Anna River. My Delorme Atlas shows the North Anna River very clearly as the southern boundary of Orange County. However in the area from about Gordonsville to due south of Orange (the town of Orange) it is labeled Negro Run. Then for the rest of the way it is labeled North Anna. Then it appears that it has been dammed to form a lake about the time that one reaches Spotsylvania County. It appears that Pamunkey Creek and Riga Run form other large inputs to the north and East of the North Anna. I just can't make any sense by looking at my map of what the North Fork of the North Anna would mean. Even Negro Run appears to me to run directly into the North Anna as if the River was just labelled something else in it's western section.... Can anyone help me with this? Marsha in WV
