The history books note that Joseph Boston was a native of Virginia--born in 1843. The census records indicate that Joseph's mother, Jane, was also a native of Virginia--born in 1830. If you know of a connection between the Maryland BOSTONs and the state of Virginia, I would welcome the information. As to the BOSTON family that became "divided", I am not familiar with that branch--I have only researched Joseph Boston's lineage. Thanks again.
