Betty, I have Herndons in my data base in Spotsylvania County, Virginia. I doubt that my information is helpful. But my Edward P. Hawkins married Huldah Herndon in Spotsylvania County in 1885. Huldah was a second wife and the couple had no children. I descend from Edward's first wife. Huldah is said to have been the daughter of Alexander and Anne Billingsley Herndon. One of Edward's sons, married a niece of Huldah: Maria Thornton Herndon. But this son, died young of TB. I do not know of children to this couple. As I say, probably none of this is helpful....but I pass it along just in case. Marsha in WV Delta12339@aol.com wrote: >My William J. Proctor b. 1815 Orange Co.,. is my brick wall. He m. Ann H. Particularly the parents of Wm. Proctor. Since he and Ann only had one child who only had one child of her own, I am almost alone in searching for William's ancestors. > >Thanks, > >Betty > > >============================== >New!
