I have a note in the margin of my notes on the 1802 Personal Property Tax records for 1802 that I looked at on Film #1870189 at my local LDS FHL in 2004. The five Hawkins men named are Achilles James Reuben James (son-in-law of Coleman) Benjamin I think that perhaps the note is not mine....that it was actually on the account. And that perhaps it was made by the tax collector to differentiate between the two men both named James Hawkins. Anyone have any ideas who this man was, who his wife was, or who his father-in-law was? Marsha in WV PS. Anyone have any ideas who the other men are, too? I am pretty certain that Benjamin is the Benjamin who married Mary/Polly Bickers in 1802. Reuben is the only one in the list who has 2 titheables in his household.
