Both were born in 1793 (per 1850 Orange Co. census record). I am descended from their son, Dr. John Coleman MARSHALL (b. 1823 in Orange County, married Martha Washington ARNOLD in 1855 or 1857, died in Greene County, Tennessee in 1878). John Coleman MARSHALL had numerous siblings, all with the middle name of Coleman. It is possible that Coleman MARSHALL's full name was Thomas Coleman MARSHALL (per information from his great-granddaughter). I have extensive information on the BICKERS side, thanks to Russ Bickers, but nothing on Coleman MARSHALL before 1815. Any help is appreciated.
