I don't know where my William Bell was from before he went to SW PA. I suspect the Bells came from somewhere in VA, as who they m. into, the Cassedays of Rockbridge County, VA, did. Barb >> There were two or three large Bell families in Augusta County in the Valley (Augusta was originally part of Orange), which I suspect may be the case of your William because of the Rockbridge marriage connection (Rockbridge split from Augusta), also the SW PA migration.
