Va Queries Reply Here: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/Va/Orange/10531 Surname: Bell, Brockman, Henderson ------------------------- The Mary Bell who is supposed to have married Samuel Brockman of Orange County, VA (will proved 25 Sept 1766) and who is thought to have been mother of Sarah Brockman (will in Orange Co. 1796)who married John Henderson (will in Orange Co. 1783) MAY be the daughter of Roger Bell (will proved 25 Aug 1774, Orange Co.). This will lists his children as John Bell, William Bell, Joseph Bell, Henry Bell, Thomas Bell, Betty Leek, Mary Brockman, Ursula Bowling, and Ann Linney. Also mentioned are granddaughters Lucy and Frankey Wisdom. Orange Co. VA Will Book 2 p. 478. If anyone can prove or disprove this relationship, I'd like to know. The will doesn't mention Roger's wife, who I suspect predeceased him; if he was Mary's father, he lived to a ripe old age, but it is definitely possible.
