The info I have says went to NC with his mother, Dorothy Davenport Baker, single in the 1790 census Burke Co., NC. His brother, Chas., says he married and moved to Overton or Morgan Co., Tn. Several of George Washington's letters mentions a James Baker who served under him. Don't know if this is the same one. This James Baker was one of 13 children born to Thomas and Dorothy Baker. All 10 sons and 3 sons-in-laws served in Am. Rev. Thomas (the father)died in explosion making powder for the Am. Rev.
