    1. Isa / Icy Snow / Female
    2. Hi, I am new to this list, I am trying to find my ancestor Icy / Isa Snow born ca.1742 and who married a John Spencer and lived for a time in Loudoun Co.Va. there is later Icy Snow married Murry Shiflett, 1813 in Orange Co.Va. My Isa Snow died ca.1798. I am wondering if my ancestor could be a part of this family because of naming pattern. Any help would be wonderful. Sondra

    3. If you know or find out anymore concerning John Spencer I would appreciate the information. The wife (my gggggm) of my gggggf was named Mary (maiden name unknown) and one of their sons was John Spencer Alverson. A couple of generations later, a daughter was named Mary Spencer Alverson which has led some of us to speculate that the maiden name of this Mary may well have been Spencer (they did a lot of name recycling). I don't have a birth date for Mary, but from her first child it may well have been in the neighborhood of 1735 which might make her a sister of this John Spencer. Although Becknell and Mary settled and died in Louisa County, there are records of Becknell in Orange County.
