Thank you<< I haven't seen the map of Orange county, Va. 1734, however I can tell you that before Frederick and Augusta were formed in 1738, Orange county was considered to include everything to the "Western Waters". Some have interpted this to mean the Mississippi River while others considered it to mean the western ocean (Pacific).. This should cause no problem in researching names of families.because the land was not settled very far to the west..No Whites had settled in southwest Va. Tenn.
