Our family is not certain of his first name, but believe it to be James Garner Mitchell. There were two daughters born to him, Emma Roberta in 1792, and Daisey born either prior to Emma or after. We don't know the mother's name either. I saw a post by Janice of Mitchells in the Marriage book for that time frame. Is there anyone in Orange Co who could check at the courthouse, or who knows of a newspaper at that time, or can offer any help or suggestions for us to find out something about this man?
