Given the choice between sharing my information selectively, with someone to whom I might be in the mood to send it, and sharing it with everyone, so that if one person garbles it there may be five others to point out the mistakes and make sure the correct information is widely available --- well, I guess I'm just stupid. I would go with putting it out there for everyone. Of course, I have a daughter who is a schoolteacher. I paid to put her through college, and now other people's kids get to learn from her, for free. I guess I should be just as selfish about sharing my descendants, as I should be about sharing my ancestors.
