Boxley, both of Orange County, were married at the home, in Orange, of Rev. R. F. Staples, who performed the ceremony. Some researchers have said that his wife Joyce was the daughter of Robert Dudley and Joyce Gayle. But I have some doubt of that unless she was his second wife. My reasons for doubting are this, Robert Dudley and Joyce Gayle were married 2-1745. So their daughter Joyce would have been born at the earliest 1745. Some of the birth dates submitted on the children of Aaron Quisenberry Sr. and wife Joyce are as early as 1755, so if Joyce Dudley was their mother she would have been 10 years old. I really need to find a record of the marriage of Aaron Quisenberry Sr., he lived in 3 different counties in Va. First Caroline Co., then Spotslyvania and then Orange Co., I would appreciate anyone who knows of his marriage or has any proof of who his wife is would contact me.
