However, my Bush line that comes from Orange Co. are found relocated in Clark Co., KY. There I have come across the Gholson surname more than a few times...the following being an example for you: Lucinda Gholson Bush m. 1826, Clark Co., to Smallwood Acton Elkin. Their children were: Wm. F. Elkin, bn abt 1829 Mary Gholson, bn abt 1831 Phillip B. , bn abt 1833 Julia D. abt 1841 Ezekiel F., abt 1847 and Lucy G. abt 1848 I don't know if this is of any help or not but, I believe your Gholson and my Bush line (by the way, my Bush line settled the "Bush Settlement" of Clark Co., KY) for which there is quite a bit of info... He was married to Susannah Robertson in 1790 in Louisa County, VA. I believe Mordecia's Parents to be Edward and Jane Collins.
