I wanted to know more about the people mentioned in the will of Thomas C. McClanahan.. the ELGINS, ASHFORD, LANGHORNE and PULLIN. Your tree helped immensely. Looks like the ELGINS end up in Missouri too. LANGHORNE is a very interesting early wealthy plantation owning family. Slave transactions are abound in each of these family ties. In Thomas C. The law of 1800, respecting militia fines, prevented him from availing himself of these warrants. This act directed the paymaster to pay them. The heirs of Solomon are mentioned in the will of Elizabeth Spears in Boone CO., MO records. Interesting connection to BAYSE/BASS family.. remember one of the daughter of William H.
