Elizabeth James b. 13 may 1796 - married 4 mar 1848 to George Sullivan - she died 14 Aug 1867 2. Nancy James born 23 Dec 1797 VA - married Benjamin Redmond 16 Dec 1813 - She died 22 mar 1819. They had two children Andrew James Redmond b. about 1815 and Mary Ann Redmond b. about 1818. 3. Joseph James born 27 Nov 1799 and died 21 July 1800 4. Icy James b. 17 may 1801 married Bayless Foley 23 Dec 1823. She died 14 Sept 1847.[These are my ancestor's, their son Chas. Wm. named a daughter Ica Snow] 5 Sarah James born 28 sept 1803 - married John James 19 May 1829. She died 21 July 1829 6. Susannah James b. 20 June 1806 and died 12 Sept 1882 7. David James b. 17 Apr 1808 married Amanda Bowen Feb 1832. 8. Mary Jane James b. 24 Aug 1810 - married Job Turner 8 June 1844. She died 5 Jan 1873 - two children Charles S. Turner b. about 1849 and E. Turner b. about 1852. Mary Jane James b. 24 Aug 1810 - married Job Turner 8 June 1844. She died 5 Jan 1873 - two children Charles W. S. Turner b. about 1849 , who practiced law and E. Loring Turner b. about 1852,who was a doctor. Mary and Job were both deaf but, both their children were hearing. Mary James is daughter of Benjamin James who died 1831 in Loudoun Co. Va. I do not have Job's parents. Job was b.19 Oct. 1820 in Boston, Mass. he was deaf from birth. Job was the first teacher in the department for the deaf at the school in Staunton, Va.
