    2. Have seen several instances of same person or family being "transported into a colony" when rights to land grants had already been given for their transport to another colony - we first figured they must have travelled back to Great Britain and again immigrated, but research showed they simply had travelled (by water) to enter the other colony. By this manner , some individuals may have been "transported" to additional colonies!, and even received land rights more than once for transportation to the same colony ( recall one as headright of ship's captain , and at later time counted for his own transportation upon additional entries). Makes one wonder what the British policies were on this??, but we never tried to look up that point. Of course the owners or proprietors were eager to get more people coming in to settle their grants, producing more in taxes, goods for trade etc, so this may not have been undesirable or evasion of any regulation, so long as there was development and economic growth for them and the crown.
