Someone recently sent me an e-mail asking if I had come across any other spellings for Garlington and specifically the surname GIRLINGTON. At the time I said no. Today I found and extensive work going back to Waleran de GYRLYNGTON 1100 ad in Yorkshire England Again a great deal of work has been done on this family and has been compiled in a book by Thesta Kennedy Scogland Gateway Press Inc. 1976
There were medieval connections between the Wrights of Northern Neck VA ...(who also came from Yorkshire).. and the Girlington line. Another small world moment. Can you tell us the name of the book by Scogland ?
