With the computer age upon us, almost everything seems like it can be done from home. I do not know if you have had a chance to click on the link below. If not, I hope that you will and then click on the county links. It will show you all available locations that need adopting simply by looking on the right side column. If you see "Adopt Me" then it is available. It is very easy to work from home on almost any site. Many papers are on-line now and have obituaries that can be put on your site. That is a gold mine of info!!!! Also, just pulling out a local phone book, high school annuals, and county sites on the web are all great sources. As a county volunteer, you would be given a special password to access the "Administrators " panel to make any necessary corrections, deletions, and additions that you feel necessary. Only 4 people in the entire country would have that access: the county coordinator, the state coordinator, the National Director & Assistant Director! . Many people may stop and add info on the site but they do not have capabilities to make changes. Simply adding 1 entry a day is a workable goal so you can see it does not demand untold hours and can be maintained without tons of extra effort. As you already know, this opportunity is fun and fulfilling. I even stumbled into pieces of my own family history by helping others in the project.
