Jo, Frances Pittman married 3 times according to my records I have pieced together. First to William Jeffries 11-14-1807, Secondly to Jeduthan James 1816 in Northumberland Co va ( This is how she links to my family tree) and Thirdly to Hiram Marsh 7-21-1831. I know her parents were Fortunatas and Mary. I show 3 children by the marriage to Hiram Marsh. They were named Joseph, Amanda , and John. Hope this helps . Well this is a start.....I guess. I believe William was Hudson's first name. His son was named William Hudson. They also had a son Francis and a son Fortunatus. However my dates don't match. According to what I have William Hudson Jeffries and Frances Ann Pitman married around 1830. She is listed in 1850 Lewis Co., WV Census but by 1860 William Hudson is married to a Rosetta. I don't know what happened to Frances. Where did Frances and Mr. James live when they married? Maybe if in WV, I could look for them at the Archives. I do have copies of 1850 and 1860 Census of Lewis Co., WV. I went to the Archives in Charleston , WV yesterday and spent the day. When I found Fortunatus in 1810 in Northumberland pg.155 I also found William Jefferies pg. 158. So they didn't live too far apart. All toooooooo confusing.
