There is an Arthur PITTMAN who married in 1860 to a Mary WILLIAMS, born: abt. 1834 prob. in Catahoula Parish, Louisiana where her parents moved at some point in time before 1840 and then moved to Franklin Parish, Louisina in or near Liddieville. Her father was William WILLIAMS said to have been born in abt. 1790 in Maryland, parents: ??, and her mother was named Elizabeth ? who was prob. born bet. 1790-1800 and is said to have been born in Ohio. Their daughter, Claranda "Clara" WILLIAMS, born: abt. 1840 in either Catahoula or Franklin Parish, LA, was my great grandmother, maternal, and married my great grandfather, Hudson/H. SLAUGHTER, and were parents of my grandfather, Louis Hector "Hec" SLAUGHTER. After the death of Arthur PITTMAN, Mrs. Mary WILLIAMS (PITTMAN) married 2nd husband, Albert Daniel WALKER, on April 22, 1869. I noticed a BARLOW family line descends from the very unusual name of a man name Fortunadas/Fortunatas you mentioned in your post regarding a Fortunadas PITTMAN. His name is Fortunatus DODSON shown in the small family tree below.
