    3. Does anyone out there have any info on a Nich (I assume short for Nicholas) or Tarkel Tarkleson. Apparently Tarkel married Margaret Thatcher in 1797, but apparently had married Elizabeth George in 1793. My ancestor is the daughter if the secind wife, I believe, as she was born in 1806 and her name was Hannah Tarkelson. She married Thomas Williams of Spotsylvania County, Fredericksburg. Any help would be most appreciated. 3. Susan: I printed this, but it doesn't have my Joseph Alexander Rock listed. That helps prove he is buried in Smith family lot as written in Bible records by my great aunt Evie Fones. I plan to send a copy of this to my friend that knows about this cem., but has no reltives there. She may know someone that will clean it up!! Bye for now. 3. Blackerby, Blackaby, Blackeley, Blackabee, Blackby, Blackerly The name seems to be unique in that everyone spells it differently, but I can spot it on a fence post 500 yards away. -----Original Message----- From: Indie & Mike Shepp <imshepp@pa.net> To: VANORTHU-L@rootsweb.com <VANORTHU-L@rootsweb.com> Date: Thursday, April 25, 2002 3:51 PM Subject: Re: [VANORTHU-L] Cemeteries and other records >Patt: What families are you searching.. marriage records, etc. ? >Indie Shepp > >----- Original Message ----- >From: "Patt Roach" <peadatt@abilene.com> >To: <VANORTHU-L@rootsweb.com> >Sent: Thursday, April 25, 2002 3:20 PM >Subject: Re: [VANORTHU-L] Cemeteries and other records > > >> Amen to that. 3. Hi! I know that at Smithland Baptist Church there is no listing. I hope to do that someday. They've even lost the map of the cemetery. I can't believe it either!!
