I am researching two of my family names: gallop & parker. The two families live in currituck co., nc. I cannot prove it at this time, but most of the colonial families in currituck(& camden) county moved to the area from SE virginia. Does anyone have any suggestions, where would I start to look at documents(libraries, record centers, etc.) from 1700- ? I would be interested in families living in SE virginia at the time. I would also be interested in any list of immigrants who came to colonial virginia, names, ships, where they landed.
