Would someone be kind enough to tell me where I should direct mail regarding guardianship papers. I believe this would have been awarded by the Courts, Child Protection Services or The department of Social Services, because the father of the children in question was killed on the job, and the mother died shortly thereafter. The children had living grandparents, but I am unsure if they were allowed to just resume the care of the children or had to go through the legal system. Surely there must have been a need for financial assistance. This would have occurred in between 1935 and 1940. Please include a phone number if possible. Thank you, Clara
